by Garnet Guardiola on After all the years this aquarium has been here, I'm really surprised by how busy it still is (hence the loss of one star). I remember the good ol' days when you had to make an appointment to go. Maybe it's time to go back to that. Other than the crowds, though (and the overpriced food and such that I would only purchase if I were on the verge of a diabetic coma - and I'm not diabetic), I think this aquarium is the shiznittle. Whale sharks, beluga whales, penguins, giant crabs, HUGE rays, and the couple of "petting" areas - all awesome. I shrieked the first time I petted (hmmm - is that the past tense of "pet"? Sounds wrong.) a ray (de-barbed), because they're slimy and squishy. But I loooooved petting the little sharks. They're not slimy at all. For about $30 per adult, I think it's worth the price of admission. I'll probably even eventually end up going back for a 3rd time.
by Scott P. on Caveat: I have never been inside during daylight hours, nor have I even eaten here. This is the place for silly drunken behavior, sweaty dancing, and Scorpion Bowls. If you're looking for a classy place to impress a date, DO NOT come here. If you're looking to get a group of friends together for a fun night out on the town, this is one of the better places in Harvard Square.
