Compared to other clubs, this one has a lot more character to itself, even though the venue is quite small. Its still got its old theatre charm to it, and even for being old, it was still pretty clean. I came here when David Guetta was playing and the place was PACKED. It was seriously so hard to walk around, yet alone get to the bar. The sound system wasnt all too great either. Plus, there was no designated smoke area, and you had to walk out to the front and down past this sign. Very inconvenient. Bouncers were friendly and somewhat humorous. D.Guetta put on a hella good show, and despite the many europeans either rolling or drunk and bumping into you spilling their drinks, they were very friendly and apologized numerous times lol. We were able to get to the front and take a shitload of pics, but ended up just chillin in the back halfway through the show so we can just breathe and enjoy the music. Even though Guetta never played When Love Takes Over, he made my first experience at Ruby worth it. David Guetta come back to the Bay soon!!

A couple of things to note about this show... -it is more of a monologue than a musical -if you aren't into music, you likely won't like this -if you're looking for a plot, you likely won't like this -if music moves you deeply, you will weep -this show is not kid appropriate (language, innuendos and LOUD) -the music is loud, if you don't like loud music, you won't like this show I LOVED this show. I was so moved by the dancing, the message and the music.
