Another Great Venue...... there are so many great acts that have come by there. It can't hurt that they have a great beer selection.

If you can accept a few truths, you will really enjoy the Frying Pan. $35 for a bucket of coronas, which works out to what, $5.50 per beer or so? Figure you're a typical person who figures that that extra $5 is the tip. $40 for 6 beers is what you're paying. If there are only a few of you, then each person buying a bucket can be a wonderful thing. If there are 6 or more, the beer ratio effects the money ratio which ultimately alters your eventual drunk ratio. It will get crowded, but you CAN find a table for yourself and friends. They do a bang up job squeezing a lot of seating on the boat(ON A BOAT) and they do an even better job removing buckets & bottles that are empty. The burger is delicious, but as mentioned by others, $10 bucks should get you some fries. So you end up dropping $13-14 for a burger & fries. I guess the biggest truth is you might find yourself $55 in the hole before you even sit down. As someone who can eat, be drunk and merry for less than that in a night, it's something to consider when mulling over whether or not you want to take off after the sun goes down. The crowd is awesome for people watching. I think that's part of what you're paying the price for. The bottom line is I think everybody should seek this place out to experience it, and maybe consider it a starting point for an evening bouncing around to other more traditional watering holes.

Get away from the typical scene of Atlanta and check out MJQ. With 2 different vibes of music coming from 2 different tunnels, this is an experience like never before. This is a place you don't have to impress anybody. Get ready to see the people you've never witnessed seeing during the daytime. I like Sloppy Seconds, held on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Different theme everytime too. Who can't forget? CHEAP DRINKS! DJs that come and go to this underground joint plays the greatest music... anything from old school to hip hop, even top 40's from today. Don't expect someone to give you paper towels in the bathroom either- or for the bathroom to even have paper towels. This place is far beyond "perfect".
