by Sha Hebert on I don't know why so many people hate on Greenhouse so much. A good night here is an almost perfect club experience... On the ideal night you will preferably get there when the party has started (always after 12), bypass the line, and go straight to your table (which on a good night is not followed by a receipt). Your experience will vary if you wait in the line outside and at the bar (you will have been idly standing for ~60% of your time at Greenhouse), and you will probably also be angry with the bar tab, and immense amount of sweat you picked up in such a quick time.... ok so maybe I understand why some people don't like it here, but you have to give credit to the following things that make this place stand out: -Amazing concept (beautiful space that is a collage of almost 100% recycled material). -Great music on both levels, sound system is also good. -It's got that Cali feel in the basement ( ;) ) -Beautiful crowd and some industry ppl if you're into that. -Obviously no cover and clean bathrooms (I don't know why the two are categorized together, but w/e!) Tues. & Sat. nights are my fav. nights, but go early or w/ the list, and you'll have more fun.
by Brad H. on I've been hearing about this place for several years and finally stopped in this past Sunday with my family for lunch. Even on a Sunday the restaurant was full but we got lucky and there was no wait for a table. Service was excellent with our waiter giving good suggestions and advice about what to order. We got a few baskets of the mixed fries - regular and sweet potatoes - which come in the miniature shopping carts as mentioned by other reviewers. The fries are delicious and my children loved the little carts. For the main meal, my wife and I both had the Delux Burger as did my mother-in-law and my father-in-law had a salad. The burgers are big so bring your appetite or prepare to share your food! However, the burgers are delicious and well worth the reputation they have earned. I didn't try any, but the selection of microbrews is extremely impressive and its nice to see a place with such a good representation of local and regional beers. Finally, save room for dessert. The choices looked great and I saw other diners enjoying them. Unfortunately I was already stuffed! Overall, Delux is definitely pricey but well worth it for one of the best burgers I have ever experienced. If I lived in Phoenix full time, I would make this a regular stop!
