Went here the first time yesterday for a nice lil gathering... That atmosphere for this place is pretty cool. I like the fact that they glow-in-the-dark bowling lanes and the TV's in the backgrounds. Very unique, they went all out for that. Also like the fact that they have a full bar and menu for food so you can get your grub on, have a few good games and get wasted all in one. Great for a Thursday-Saturday night. Few draw backs that I would say about this place though is 1: Expensive! $13 per person per game and $6 shoe rental. I understand its Manhattan and the place is suppose to be "upscale" but sheesh! 2: Its almost like a club getting into the place with checking ID's at the door and having standard times where under 21's can get in and not be able to get in, a lil over the the top, what's next a dress code? (in which case there are bowling alleys, at least one in particular that does that now: hint hint C.P. are the initials) So, Bowlmour is a recommend, mostly because it is in a convenient location in Union Square which is fairly easy to get too, if you don't wanna eat there, there are so many spots around for your choosing and it is kind of a lounge too so you don't necessarily have to bowl to have a good time.

I visited 111 Minna for the first time for Qool's Wednesday night/happy hour. It was epic! I beat the cover charge by minutes (must get there before 6pm) and thus began my liquid dinner extravaganza. The happy hour deals are average, but the bartenders are friendly and the bar is very spacious. We found a table/booth with funky chairs and gaped at the disturbing but intriguing art that decorates its walls. Later in the night, we moved to the dance floor and danced our asses off. The Lincoln/Obama portrait behind the stage was fascinating. I will definitely return!

I'm torn about this place. It sucks to wait in the cold for an hour to get in somewhere with a bunch of girls in mini-skirts and then have to pay $20. What do they think this is, LA? Good news is there is always a guest list on the website and if you get on it and get there early enough you can get in for free. Now, don't think you're going to waltz in there at 11pm. There WILL be a long-ass line of fellow broke people like me trying to get in for free. Now, if the whole idea of waiting out on the mean streets of the tenderloin as crackheads move to and fro then you may actually have fun inside. The place is MASSIVE. It's got an upstairs, downstairs, and a smoker's patio that is bigger than most SF  clubs. Oh yeah, I forgot the little side room. Where was I? Trying to get a drink is damn near impossible with the crowds even though they have a bunch of bars. Drinks are also expensive. If you look past all those things the music is actually pretty good. I like hip-hop / rap so this place works for me. One thing that always cracks me up is when clubs have beds in the VIP area. If I were stupid enough to pay for table service I may have the pleasure of making out with someone with a bunch of people looking on but instead I get to sweat it out with all the rest of the proletariat. This is a great place if you want to go with friends and then ditch them to sneak off with a girl. Note to my girlfriend: I mean ditch my friends and sneak off with you. I went to this club before I started dating you (edit) :-) Park your car on street, do it. See how that goes. I'm cheap and I'd rather pay the $20 across the street than have my car broken into...again.
