by Ezra Kienow on wow, what's up with all the portion size comments? for $5 i had a plate of fried cauliflower that, had i known it would be so big, i would have ordered one less dish!!! i started with a hummus with tahini, and it was the best hummus i've ever had. the cauliflower and some fritters made of leek, cheese and honey came next. i would have done without the fritters. honestly, compared to the hummus and the cauliflower, they just couldn't compete... and the fact that they were fried sorta overwhelmed all the other ingredients. had the fruit of the day dessert, which was pear with whipped cream... must have been marinated in some sort of molasses, cause that was the most distinctive flavor in the dish. small dessert, but good. the condiments which someone else mentioned, my server explained they were meant to season dishes as i pleased... not for dipping an imaginery bread into. :) the bright green one was really spicy... and delicious. i pretty much put it on everything. anyway, three glasses of wine and all that food later... i left stuffed for $75. it's pricey, yeah, and i won't be able to make it a regular thing for that reason, but it'll make a nice special occasion place for me.
by Russell Mackedanz on I've only been here to see Tainted Love so far - but I had a fantastic time and would definitely come again! The decor definitely added a level of formality / classiness to the place, I found the dance floor crowded but not to the extent that I couldn't enjoy the show...and most of all...I found the drinks to be anything but wink - in fact, I though they were quite strong - they may have come in small cups, but there was definitely a lot of vodka in the drinks my husband and I ordered!
