Great place to hang out for a simple night out! My girlfriend and her friends wanted to go here for the good o'days. Their drink selections were unique and fun. Love the atmosphere and music.

I think I lost this bar in the divorce but I will always have love for it. It's where I celebrated my 24th and 25th birthdays and many other nights at Charlie Horse and revolver. Best of all this bay is so un-castro and that gives it 3 stars on its own. Charlie horse is the Friday night drag show that for many people is the successor to Tranny Shack. It's big, its loud, it sometimes tries too hard but overall its a great night packed with a diverse group of guys and girls and there is little drama and big fun. Revolver is the new Saturday night darkwave night. Which basically means its the semi-goth night that plays industrial, electronic, and standard goth fare. Its a lot of fun a lot less packed than Charlie Horse but I imagine will soon come into its own. The Cinch has strong drinks, a great beer selection, and provides a look back to the days when Polk and not the Castro was the gay mecca for our fair city.

First off, whenever I go to Pure, I get a drink on the 1st floor since it's less packed, then I go straight to the 3rd floor. That's where it goes down. Yes it is more upscale than most of the places on 6th. I can't believe people are actually complaining saying that this place belongs in Miami or Vegas. How about recommending it as a Miami or Vegas-style joint for those who are looking for that? I'm personally glad there is diversity on 6th street. If you like to dance, go to the 3rd floor! The dance floor never gets too packed. As for the music, I give major props to the DJ. House remixes and pulling out old school when needed. The great thing about 6th street: if you don't like one bar, move on to the next one. No cover:)
