by Marcus G. on Is it a tourist trap? Is the food over priced? Do they also have some of the best Jazz Acts in the United States that make you forget all of that? Yes to all three questions. I was in town on business and was fortunate enough to be invited the night that the Jimmy Heath Big Band played which included Bill Cosby acting as a guest MC. The music and acoustics where phenomenal. If you closed your eyes you felt transported back in time to the days of Coltrane and Miles.Even though the food is a bit overpriced it isn't as bad as many of the reviews claim, however I did stick with the Coconut Shrimp and Calamari so those aren't too hard to get right. Bottom line if you're coming here expecting a 5 star restaurant you're going to be sorely dissapointed, but if you're coming to experience some of the best Jazz Music and Musicians in the United States, then this is the premier place.
