by S S. on Came here with my buddy Liam several years ago after attending the showing of Brotherhood at the Tribeca Film Festival. We posted up at the end of the bar and camped out for a couple of hours and had an amazing time. I forgot about this place and stumbled across it the other night. It is another perfect NYC bar, and one of the oldest dating back to 1817...just my style! Service was quick and we were well attended to the entire time we were there. Very cozy feel. Cool matchbooks with two blank music bars in case you feel like composing. Also has a huge ship mooring hook outside...makes for a cool place to set your drink!
by Darlena Fredericks on This place has gone extremely down hill since my first visit in 2004. I remember it being pretty good back then. Nowadays, it is definitely NOT worth $20 or whatever they charge at the door. This place is so ghetto its not even funny. I dont have anything else to say but its best you go clubbing somewhere else unless you enjoy crowded, smelly, volatile surroundings. Not worth it.
by Tosha Kumro on I loved getting ice cream here! The flavors consistently change so you can always try something new. It was nice to then take my ice cream to the grassy/hilly area and watch the sunset there on a warm day! Minus one star because they only take cash.
