by Julia M. on Everyone knows that Hong Kong rocks a strong scorpion bowl and is a reasonable destination for the occasional drunken fool fest. Here's the well-kept secret: Hong Kong has the most outstanding General Tso's chicken dish in Harvard Square and possibly the Greater Boston metro area. For those of you who don't know, General Tso's is the premier dish available to the Chinese take-out aficionado. Hong Kong has managed to refine their recipe to perfection - the perfect blend of chewiness without overcooking, extra sauce without drenching the dish, spicy but not too spicy. One wrinkle: they've chosen to disguise the dish by naming it General Gao's, who is clearly an inferior warrior to that noble and revered Chinese legend, General Tso. A small complaint though. The price is reasonable and the Kong has dispensed with the superfluous broccoli portion of the dish while continuing to include the obviously integral egg roll. The Thai selections are actually not bad either. Thank you Hong Kong, for providing a great take-out experience.
by Tona Sanfratello on Was not very enthused by this place. We went for dinner and a drink, it was super dark inside, cold, and the music was too loud. The food was good, definitely the redeeming quality of the place, but not the best I've had in this genre.
