by Kitty K. on Ok we just finished having dinner and we were ready to hang out in South beach and have some drinks. We ended up in Mangos and this is a casual place for drinks, live entertainment and fun times. There was a Reggae band playing & hot chicks dancing on the bar for the men and even hotter men dancing for da ladies. To make the evening more entertaining there was also a Michael Jackson tribute and who wouldn't love that!!!! I read some of the other reviews about it being cheesy but it's drinks not a diplomatic affair.
by Porfirio Dechamplain on I had been here a few years back before they remodeled and really loved the high booths and middle island bar which made me felt like I was on some 70's backyard pool patio. Cut to present day and everything is nice and modern and what a really chill lounge is now a happenin' drinking spot. Four of us eased up to the bar and got our favorite drinks. The bartender had no idea what a Rob Roy was but when I told her it was basically a Manhattan with scotch, she poured a pretty good one. In fact I had to have another after that. As we looked around, the patrons seemed to be all over the map. Unfortunately a group of dudes ended up right behind be and one kept bumping into me. Arrgh. We were only there long enough for a couple of drinks but even though it was just a short time, it was a good one. So if you're looking for a pre dinner drinks venue or a drinking destination, Bruno's still has a great eclectic charm, even with the their remodel.
