by Vicky B. on BEWARE! Don't make table reservations at Ruby Sky and know that the Better Business Bureau rates Ruby Skye a B- on a scale of A+ to F. I regret not paying closer attention to the bad reviews before paying for the bottle/vip service here last Friday night. The service of the bouncers, bartenders, waiters and hostesses was atrociously rude to our party, and downright unprofessional. I also believe that we were misquoted on the price of the VIP booth and entry fee. Perhaps Ruby Skye is "THE" nightclub of the city, and perhaps worth it for the big producers and DJs, but I would consider twice about picking this as your place for a special evening -- such as a birthday celebration, NYE, or bachelorette party. I'm about to submit my official complaint to the BBB with the full story, and I recommend anyone with similar stories to do the same.
by Edwardo Eros on this LOOKS like a great place to be. but that's all: looks. firstly, i was on the guest list with a bunch of friends for a friend's birthday. we had a good girl to guy ratio, about 3 to 1. so i ask one of the doormen how long it will take for our group to get in, and he said within 30 minutes. from the vibe i got from that guy, i knew he was saying some major BS. so i wait 30 minutes. then they let some other people in, so i'm thinking 'ok, we are probably next'...nope. then we ask again how long, and then the bro working the line says he doesn't know and then not too long after that he lets other "homies" in. so after waiting for an additional hour, we decided to leave and take our party and our money elsewhere. being on the guest list here doesn't mean anything. we waited an hour and a half, we were polite, we were willing to pay cover, but we get lied to and we get treated like crap. at least tell us we won't get in so we don't waste time. the people who run this place swear like it's vegas or something upscale. hah. it's all HYPE. and after reading other reviews i'll also say here that i felt they were being "picky" if you know what i mean...
by Hoyt Burwell on This is mostly a review of POINT BREAK LIVE, which is a sure bet for a night of hilarity and fun. But watch the movie before you go! I didn't and still had a blast, but I'm sure it's better if you do. You can also sit at the bar, where you don't get sprayed (yes, fake blood, fake spooge, and real water is coming) as much, and plus there's a constant supply of drinks. The play gets 5 stars, no question. The drinks are kind of a rip off tho ($7 for a bottle o' bud light, really?), so I'm going with 4 overall.
