by Lauren S. on I kind of love this bar for the random nights that you just want to dance! The music on the weekends are fun and even better after drinking. Although heavily populated by douchebags, this bar stands out to me: 1) strong drinks 2) tacky decor 3) "Africa" by Toto Pure magic.
by Eden Graffeo on I had eaten at this restaurant like 2 weeks ago..and completely forgot. That tells you something doesn't it? When a restaurant is so forgettable...too bad. Prana is actually Temple Nightclub before it turns into the nightclub. Seating is comfortable & the settin is beautiful. The food, not so much. Service is terrible. I ordered the spring salad & i think it was 45 minutes before I got it. I ordered my drink...and that too took at least 20 minutes to get. and they were NOT busy!! we went at about 9 o'clock..there were like 5 tables..I asked for change at the bar...and they told me, sorry..i don't have any. WTF?! My friend got the ravioli & it was filled with peas. Interesting..it wasn't bad..but it wasn't good either. My other friend got the lamb, gamey. All in all, a huge disappointment & waste of time...though it was a free meal so that gave it another star. Whoopity doooo 2 stars! WOOT!
by Sharlene Moman on each and everytime we head to the city, i honestly dont know how we end up at this club. i mean, broadway has tons of things to see.. we enjoy it here for some reason. if you chat it up with the bouncer, and you're female, he'll let you in along with a bunch of other friends. so that was cool. first time here on a friday night and it was ok. packed with a lot of dudes looking for someone to dance with..and a lot of times, they ended up dancing together. i kinda wondered if it was a gay club on fridays, but it wasnt. seeing that deserved a shot, so me and a friend (who was celebrating her day that night) headed to the bar and i ordered the 2 of us shots of henny. countdown 3....2...1... we took the shot. 5 minutes later, she feels kinda woooozy and not so great, so i take her to the bathrooms real fast. man.. she's a super lightweight drinker. i was afraid after being in the club for only a good 20 minutes, we'd have to leave because of her...haha. small place with a dance floor that can fit all of SF in there. its great that they've got 2 bars, so you could be sure you'll have your drinks in less than a minute. ok drinks. strong if you ask them to make it strong, otherwise it's watered down. close to the end of the night, they've got the bartop dancers. sorta girl's gone wild stuff happening, with all them guys staring up at them.. pervs. bad thing is that if you're just lounging in one of the booths because you just want a place to sit, they'll boot you out of it real quick. if you dont have a reservation, then you can't sit AT ALL, which kinda sucks, cuz after a few shots, and maybe a couple more, i cant help but get comfy with the nasty leather seats and sit it out. BUT..if you go to the bar in the back, there are some bar stools that are free for the taking. another bad thing is that my friend lost her sweater there. she took it off cuz she was dripping with sweat and left her sweater by the booths. next thing you know...GONE! booo. i usually see the same ol' faces here... you'll probably even bump into a couple of friends or ex's. who knows.. but i had fun that night. peace.
