Lunch buffet here is hard to beat. Once I walked in here, I thought "roomy" . Like seriously, roomy. The lighting is dim, the ambience is nice and behind the reception area is a bar. I wonder how happy hour is here and if they have this under a bar setting at night... I smell a curious return visitor (lowers arm slowly after smell check). First thing I saw was pozole. I was introduced to pozole by a girl back in HS. I LOVE POZOLE and their pozole is awesome! Their chicken is pretty good and it's not dry. I love how they have roasted tomato salsa. It goes great with so many things in the buffet! The cheese enchiladas are superb! Very flavorful and the cheese is not too overwhelming. Ready for dessert? They have plantains and churros. And the churros are something to rave about! At least to me. Never had a churro with custard filling inside. The custard filling adds that extra umph' that makes it a dessert to drool over. I see an unhealthy number of 2 and 3 stars all over the reviews. I'll have to return to happy hour to attest to this.

Have been a few times. Never had a problem getting in, but will probably not go again (unless begged by a crowd of straight gals, as has been the case in the past). Drinks - decent. Decor - decent. Attitude - too big for it's britches. Prices - see 'Attitude'. Staff - see 'Attitude'. Just a big miss overall. This neighborhood doesn't need the faux-glam-exclusive B.S., move it to Meatpacking or something. Nice try.
