nice if the back of the lounge isn't closed to a private party, otherwise you're kind of stuck in this thin strip area by the bar (since the other side of that is a "vip area"). it kind of reminds me of slide, but i liked slide better since the area wasn't as divided -- because for a small space it makes it kind of inconvenient. plus, there wasn't even too many people there and they made my boyfriend wait outside in the freezing cold for a long time. it's nice though. small, chill, decent ambiance after you get a few drinks in everyone. wouldn't pay cover for it. may be good for vip i guess, but kind of a small place so it'd have to be for people that want a more private party.

Oh, how I heart thee... Explain to me how one venue can be consistently FRESH, UNIQUE, AND ENERGETIC. There is no other place like The Edison. I've been here at least a handful of times and I'm always amazed about how this place keeps up with it's individual pinache that can range anywhere from men walking on stilts, a full marching band, an absinthe cart, to superior mixologists, and just a classy bunch of fun people. You're almost always guaranteed a great time here. They have an outdoor patio for smokers on the first level, two bars and couches on the lower level, projector screens, and moreso historical value being renovated from an old power plant. This is what makes city venues so much more interesting than beach venues. *If you're the tennis shoe and jeans kind of guy, this place probably isn't for you. They have a very strict dress code and rightfully so.
