by Hugh Strahin on I'm not really a fan of mashups because they either ruin 2 perfectly good songs or I am forced to listen to crap mixed with something I used to like. It's lose/ lose. The music at Bootie wasn't bad though. The crowd was very mixed and it never got too hot or stuffy. We had started the night at the house of the magic toilet so we were all pretty happy when we arrived at Bootie. Then, a Beyonce mashup came on, someone tripped a little and was escorted out immediately by a bouncer. This was at 11:45. But they were very nice to him as they lead him out and gave him water to drink while he was supposed to calm down Then they let him back in. Reading these other reviews, it sounds like we dealt with the only nice bouncers there. We danced more, watched a boring drag performance, did some battling with people that I hope were intoxicated and then the timeout guy almost got into a fight without ever knowing it. Later as we were walking home, I saw people falling and not being able to get up, Asian tempers flaring, a photo op couch, a bear club and a big gigantic dog. Could the night have been any better?
