by Kathy S. on This club isn't a 5-star experience but compared to what else is out there, it's definitely better than the 3 it's rated at now so I'll give it 5 to boost it's rating and because comparatively it's pretty decent. I was on the guest list and got there around 10:50. I guess the guest list was until 11:00 as they were letting tons of people in who were on the guest list still. They weren't making people wait too long and were getting people in as fast as they could! Drinks were reasonable: Mixed drinks $7, wine $9, beer probably even cheaper. Someone was walking around offering free shots of some cognac. It wasn't bad but definitely attributed to my hangover :( I would steer clear from that if offered again. Music was nice! The dance floor was happening!! They were spinning some techno and they had funky lighting. A cool group having bottle service let me and my friends chill on the couch and dance in their area. Bouncers let people dance on the tables and all around the DJ booth platform. Very free/chill environment. Yes, there are some slimy guys here but also some hot ones and tons of hot girls (umm including me and my friends of course haha)
by Burl Matamoros on "The food was excellent and our server, Keith, did a very good job guiding us through the meal. We had a very good wine that was shockingly cheaper than retail price. That was an extra plus. I would give the food a plus but the introductory experience and general arrogance is off-putting. When one arrives, the hostess crew basically jumps you at the front door and forces you to a cocktail table. They make you tap your foot there - ostensibly to buy a drink - even though your table is ready. If you 'call' them on it, they get a bit huffy. On top of that, we asked to move over a table only to be told 'we have a process that balances out tables for waiters, so no'. That was the most absurd comment I've ever heard at a fine dining establishment. When I sent this feedback to the restaurant, I got no response. I ate here before Tuhoy left - great food, when Gillespe first bought it and there were literally zero customers (I'm serious, I could have fired a cannon in the place and not hit anyone), and now that he is Mr Popular. He keeps up this arrogance and he will be back to zero after his little fame of Top Chef. Sad really. I see this arrogance in other minor comments from other people too. There are far too many good places in Atlanta to be treated like garbage.
