Oh Roe! I can honestly say this was the worst experience I have ever had in SF/bay area club. It ruined a beautiful Friday night out. First, it started with the BITCH at the door. If the devil is a woman, his name is Jessie and works at Roe. Once inside, we got a table service and tried to have some fun. We were interrupted by several drunks who kept falling onto our table. When we asked a bouncer to tell one of the drunken maniacs off of our table, he replied "go tell him yourself." Of course, the night wouldn't be complete without having another drunken asshole fall on to our table breaking all glasses and spilling drinks on me... Oh that was fantastic. It was almost worth paying for. My advice to the management is: don't hire people who do not want to work. My advice to my fellow fun-lovers is: avoid this place at all costs! Save your money and your dignity and go somewhere else. I do want to thank our server though. She was very nice and apologized for her co-workers incompetency. I will not make the mistake of going back there EVER AGAIN.

Luv doggies? Luv booze? Luv open air patios for doggies and booze? Then El Rio is the spot for you. Every time I go here, there is a Rocket Dog Rescue fundraiser being held and there are plenty of furry little friends pawing at me to pet them. Not only that, there are plenty of dogs too! Gotta luv their moist noses and wagging tails. CUTE! The bar itself is located about 3 long blocks from 24th St. Bart station. If your taking Bart, stop off at El Farolito first for take out. Its right next to the Bart station. Can't miss it. Enjoy w/ a margarita or Tecate. The setup of El Rio is pretty sweet. 1. Long bar to accommodate many many booze hounds. 2. One pool table in the middle of the room beyond the bar. No bumping into sticks here. 3. The back patio is large and can accommodate probably 50 people(standing and sitting). 4. The bartenders and security are super nice and always welcome you as you come or leave. 5. Patrons are generally friendly and easy going Mission types. Unpretentious and just chill. 6. $2 PBR, $3 Wells, $5 Margaritas...nuf said. 7. Did I mention the doggies? I just wish they accepted plastic as I never carry cash...oh well. So grab Elvis, Ruckus and Yogi and head over to El Rio as fast as their four legs can cary them. Woof! ps. If you don't FUC this review, you hate doggies, and are a bad US American :P

Love the assortment of music at this bar. Same owners of Au Tua Nua in Brookline. Wednesdays are some of the best techno djs I have heard in Boston. Dance floor is super small so don't get pissed on the elbows in the back but the tunes are some of the best for the cheap cover you pay.
