Originally upon walking in this place it would have been 5 stars!  They have a great set up for watching sports.  My guy and I came in, paid 30 bucks each cover charge to watch the fight and purposely got there 3 hours in advance to "ensure the best seat in the house".  By the time the fight we came to see was actually underway there were hundreds of last minute stragglers who were allowed to stand in front of our booth making it impossible to see what was happening and when we tried to stand up to see we got yelled at by the bouncer!  I'm sorry when you have come early good paying customers who are willing to throw down major coin dont get greedy and let everyone and their mom in to block the view of the die hard fans who made it a point to give their business to somewhere we thought would be better than Dave and Busters!!!!

Pros: I love the decor. It's uniqe in Austin, and authentically vintage. I had one of the best cocktails ever there (three of them, in fact), and the Rabbit appetizer was delicious. We also loved the antelope tartare, although it required salt and pepper, which we had to ask for. We also asked for ketchup for the accompanying fries, and were told "we don't have ketchup here." Strange. Cons: We were discouraged from deviating from the specialty cocktail menu, and when my boyfriend did, his drink was bad and the waitress admitted it (proudly?). Poor guy didn't have a good drink all night because none of the house specialties appealed to him. Also, I ordered the Curried Grits and Greens, a vegan dish, and while the greens and grilled mushrooms were tasty, the curried grits were horrible. I'm not even sure they were made from cornmeal. They tasted like Thanksgiving stuffing with a very uninspired curry flavor and a really mushy texture. I would definitely go again for the ambiance, but in the future I'll probably start with dinner down the block at the Good Knight and finish with cocktails OFF THE SPECIALTY MENU at the Showroom.
