by catherine v. on I've only come here for drinks, but I was so underwhelmed I'm not motivated to try the food. For $10 cocktails, they should be amazing, but...again, underwhelmed. This place is so focused on being cool that it's super hard to enjoy it. Meh.
by Anjanette Pennywell on As this place is close to my office and home I was excited to see that it opened and decided to give the happy hour a whirl. It was a bit of a strange experience. First of all they have these little bitty tables in the bar area. They are actually miniature, entirely too small to hold food and drinks and that just pretty much pissed me off. I could see people huddled over their small tables, trying to balance their food and drinks one about one cubed inch of space, so I suggest my friend and I move to the bar, which at least had space. The bartender was good looking, attentive and fun. He kept our wine glasses full and suggested some great menu items. The chocolate cake with lavender ice cream made my mouth particularly happy and watching the skantily clad girls mix and mingle as the place slowly turned into a club or whatever happens in the later hours was also fun. The food is good however it's almost as though they don't want you to eat in the bar area, which is totally awkward. I'd return, but probably not unless invited by someone else.
