I went there as an after after spot for my b-day. My bro knew the door person so we had no problem getting in. I was shit faced already so don't know how much the drinks cost or if they are good, but I am sure they are expensive. The truth is the views are sick. sick sick sick. The music was Amazing. The DJ was mixing great house. Very impressed. I wish I was not soo shitfaced and I could have enjoyed more. Definitely plan on going back before Christmas. Hollllla.

"Great Great Bar and bands!" It's the best little bar in Atlanta. The crowd is little five points locals and the bar has everything you'd ever want. The bands are wild and crazy... all at the same time. Try catching one of their special events, like talent show night. You'll have a party and witness strange things. The last time I was there, a mini-bike act filled up the place with smoke... good thing the fire departmen didn't show up. The downstairs bar is not to be missed... relax and enjoy!

Oooh I love the Phoenix Hotel! I've had a couple of decadent party days/nights here and it's always interesting. One was the re-opening party--when it changed from Backflip to the Bambudha Lounge. The group we were with had a room there...bright and kitschy colors. Recently when we were still having a bit of a heatwave my brother-in-law and girlfriend rented the suite for the weekend (the room across from the Vincent Gallo painting). The front room was super cool with leather couches and ottomans. The bedroom had a huge mahogany four poster bed with a balcony. Super comfy and sleek. We ate dinner at the hotel the first night--it was excellent much to my surprise. Saturday we met back up and hung out by the pool drinking champagne all day --I even swam around for a bit. So fun to be swimming in the heart of the Tenderloin, especially on a weekend when there was a protest at Civic Center--so the ghetto birds were hovering. This was a super unique San Francisco experience. I'd comment on the club that night--but I'd already been drinking all day--so my recount would be far from accurate due to the goggles I was wearing! I can't wait until I have more family/friends come to town...this hotel rocks!
