by Shon Mikrot on Came in with a party of 4. Waited 30 minutes for a table. Finally they pushed two miniature end tables together. Waited 30 minutes for 3 out of 4 person's drinks and then another 5 for one persons told it was because they were "handcrafted" cocktails. Not sure how that differs from the drinks anyone else makes as I go to other places with good homemade cocktails (good knight for instance) that take 5 minutes or less to make. Also, the ice in glass was too much. Cocktails should be shaken with ice to chill and then strained, not on the rocks like you're drinking a coke. Then our waitress ignored us for 20 minutes when we were ready to order. She finally returned but neglected to refill our waters. Generally BAD service. Then when the waitress decided to take our second drink order I switched to beer thinking that it would come quicker but no. The drinks took another 30 minutes and the beer 35 minutes. Maybe they just hated me. So after taking our order we waited an hour and a half for the food. I watch TV, that is way too long to be waiting for food. All in all we were there for over 3 hours and had a very bad experience. The room was also crazy loud and we could barely hear each other across the table. May try it again soon but judging from the other reviews most people agree. Pros: Good food and decorations. Cons: Bad service, loud room, bad drinks for the price, long wait time for tables, drinks, food.
by Craig Rieser on I love birthdays. I love birthdays at Bubble Lounge. This was my second time at Bubble Lounge and I had SUPER GREAT time. No cover is always a A+. Our friend had a couple tables with some strawberries and choc, cheese and bottles. That definately helps set the mood right! Finally made my way to the main bar and ended up staying there ALL night. Had many glasses of champagne and tried one of their flights. Champagne = YUMMM! Went downstairs to find a way overcrowded girls bathroom and a really hot dance room. Didnt dance but yes did try to fight the bathroom line. Bubble Lounge you need more bathrooms!
by Kimberli M. on A few of my girlfriends surprised me here for my birthday last week. We got many-a-dish and shared them all. One of the girls is allergic to seafood so we passed on it making sure she could have everything without reaction! Thus, I won't comment on the seafood this time. The theme of the restaurant is to bring together the many flavours of Southeast Asia in restaurant/lounge atmosphere. The candle wall (lit with over 130 candles) is a nice touch. Looks like the place turns into quite a party on Friday and Saturday nights (see their website.) Back to the food!!! We started with Cha Gio [Vietnam] -- Crispy vegetable spring rolls served with sweet chili sauce, Lollipops [India] -- Chicken wings sauteed in sweet n spicy sauce and Bhindi Fry [India] -- Tangy crispy fried okra. We moved on to have Aloo Gobi [India] --Diced cauliflower & potatoes tempered with turmeric & cumin, Goong Ob Woon Sen [Thailand] -- Shrimp with glass noodles (although we asked them to substitute chicken for the shrimp and they gladly did), Bo Luc Lac [Vietnam] -- (Shaking) beef with garlic sauce and Curry Ayam [Malaysia] -- Chicken in kaffir lime leaf curry. What a feast!! We also enjoyed tasting their Mango Martinis and Cilantro Mojito. Foods from so many of my favorite cuisines! How well do they know me or WHAT!? We ended with a plate of Chocolate Dynamite Cake -- Rich chocolate cake with a layer of dark chocolate fudge, for the table to share! It's the ideal place for those nights where you can't choose between Indian and Vietnamese!
