I think the place is a little bit over rated and over priced, but I guess that's what you pay for when you walk into a chic restaurant. Usually in french restaurants where you order multiple courses, they come out way too slowly. Here at XIV, they come way too fast. It's like the kitchen is just cranking these things out and the servers don't seem to care if you're done eating or not. The whole point of having multiple plates is to try different dishes and to enjoy them. I shouldn't be forced or pressured by the waiters to be wolfing down my food, especially at $114 per head. Great place for mondays because they have 50% off wine. I'll be back on mondays! 4**** for food & ambiance -1* rapid fire kitchen +1* 50% off wine on Mondays
by Harris Nazari on This is the worst "sports bar" in San Francisco. The bartenders would rather finish up their cell phone conversation than get you a beer. They literally act like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to be there. And the food is horrendous - how do you screw up bar food? I have spent my last dollar at the Final Final - I don't care how close to the Presidio it is.
