by Debra Phonharath on Sigh...so late to the party. Everything has been said about this place with 900+ reviews! So, here my interpretation... If you never been, then you must see to believe. Well dress and clean people enjoying a night club life during brunch. Food is de-limeful (wife told me to add it) but portions are small. So you have to fill up on Mimosa's!! Servers are hit and miss, some are friendly and others not so much. They'll start kicking you out after you finish eating, which is fine because about 20 people are waiting to sit down. If you come here, then please dress nice. I don't want no baggy clothes wearing wanna-be gangsta ruining this lovely atmosphere. ps. Usually a line for toilets, trash cans are conveniently located in the kitchen ;p
by Gretchen O. on While driving here, I thought I was lost, but then we pulled up to the non-descript building and entered through the big doors. It was daylight, so, the illuminated entrance was not happening. Once we entered, I felt I was entering an S/M chamber or something and I was concerned, but intrigued. Then we passed through the curtains and I was wowed. The design and decor is very cool. I especially like the individual cylinder lamps that dangle from the ceiling, it had a very midsummer nights dream effect. We decided against the bottomless wine, since we had plans to meet friends for drinks, later in the evening. It was kind of funny, because my friend is a bit of a wine snob, but he told the server to just bring him a good Zin. I was surprised and teased him about this, telling him that he was going to get a glass of the least expensive and most ordinary Zin on the menu. Sure enough, the server brought the Zin that I had expected and my friend was disappointed, but that is what he gets for not being specific. I ordered a salad and the Steak Frites, which was a recommendation from another friend. The steak was perfectly prepared and very tasty, but I was disappointed in the fries. They were plentiful and tasty, but they were long, thin and very crisp. It made it really difficult to eat, since I did not want to pick them up and eat with my fingers. Obviously, this was my issue and not the restaurants fault. I would chalk this entree upon the "do not order on a date" list, especially if you are hungry. We were quite satisfied with the food and service at the end of the meal, but we were here a lot longer than expected. It was nice not to be rushed, but we were late to meet our friends. Next time, I will just have to keep that in mind.
