You wanna go to Ajna bar: - When you are not hungry* - To taste bad dumplings swimming in a sauce that doesn't taste good, average sashimi and questionable delightful chocolate cake - When you hope to impress someone just because the space was very stylish once, impressive maybe, but not any more, not unique for sure considering the offers in the city ... and learn that your hopes doesn't always become a reality - It could work with someone new in the city or tourists. But I wouldn't bring my friends when they are visiting the city. Long time ago, when Buddha was still there, - You may wanted to go to be took from the line for someone that seems to be the host, to brought you inside like the hottest MPD's public, and invite you to a drink while he drinks a glass of Moët et Chandon - When you wanna meet his "friends" that are actually partners, quite old, seating in one of the few tables with couches, and recollecting hotties thinking than a Champagne glass can be enough Yeah, sure. - When you don't really wanna talk as the dining space becomes loud when lounge time comes. And not like in the lounge area you can talk as well. - When you wanna drink regular drinks but clearly overpriced. - When you wanna dance whatever the music. Lets say is a mix of House music, Electronic and some other hits played in clubs but far away of being good. It was enough for not coming back in more than one year until someone thought that the 3rd assertion could be applicable in this case. Yeah, sure The sake was good. The service was good too. Actually, quite nice .. but I can believe all this "whens" happened to me already. * Who mind then about taste and portions. You are not eating anyways.

I don't think Opera is all that bad. Then again, I don't drink so I don't have to deal with the overpriced drinks and dumb bartenders. I used to go to Eleven50 for about 6-7 years. I used to go when transvestites filled the stage. I also remember, depending on the night, when they used to play all sorts of music such as hard house, top-40 stuff, trance, prog house, hip hop, etc. Then it started to get "Atlantafied" more and more. I guess the final nail in the coffin was the name change from Eleven50 to Opera. Now, all we are left with is hiphop or top-40 mashup stuff every week. Hip hop and top-40 stuff isn't bad. I can dance to almost anything. But if every single club is playing hip hop and top-40, it gets pretty old. They do bring in famous EDM djs once in a while but only on crazy nights like Tues, Wed or Thurs. It's impossible to go see them if you're a full time career person. As for the decoration, the place is huge. It has like 3 different rooms. But the diversity of the music is nonexistent in those 3 rooms. I thought 3 rooms meant 3 different "experiences." Not the same crap I heard in the other room except mixed different. This place gets super packed. That's either a good thing or a bad thing. It's a good thing if you're looking to score. It's a bad thing if you just want to dance. The type of people that go here are the "seen and be seen" type of people. That's also a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you're looking for. I dunno, I guess it's an okay club. I still feel remains of the old Eleven50: you know, the club that used to be cool. I guess I still have a soft spot for it even though it's completely changed. Now it's just another club trying too hard.
