by Robbie Knoch on A late cold rainy night. . . so we duck into the Sir Francis Drake in all it grandeur. We were not dressed in blazer and gown but the door man was really cool and let us in. Live Jazz and a very eclectic mix of people. The Drinks were a bit pricey but very well made. But not our scene. Cool if you are older or want to hang with older folks. Oh yeah it was a Tuesday evening.....We heard they have a pretty good DRAG show . . . maybe we will check that out next time.
by Margot P. on Great place, you can get very good wine for a very good price, or you can get something expensive if you really want to. The flights are a a fun, inexpensive way to try new wines, and the staff is knowledgeable and NOT snooty.
by Dagmar Leza on Ok, not the most amazing bar in the entire world, so why the 5 stars? ....because on April 6, 2007, I met my husband there:-). I was here in SF on vacation, visiting a friend, met my husband, and have now been a happy resident of San Francisco since August 2007. Yes, you can meet people and bars, even people you want to marry!!
