Great venue for music but they really need to fix two things.. 1. ticketing system. Its frustrating and more times than not, people are shut out of ticket purchases quickly. Thanks to Craiglist, it doesn't stop scalpers and it causes many unhappy fans. 2. Food--is OK, but overpriced along with the drinks. While the Fillmore is pricey, the food quality and the service staff are much, much better.

Typical Hollywood bar kind of place. However, this also serves as a restaurant and "lounge". It's a triple threat. Just like teenage drivers. Just sayin'.... It's pretty dark in here. Seriously, like you have to be *this* close to someone to fully make out their face. Not make out with their face, but... ah, nevermind.... It's not THAT dark, but close. I dunno about the food since we obviously weren't there to eat, but the dining room was full. The bar area was rather small 'cause the place seemed like they wanted to make more room for the dining area. The bartenders seemed a little slow most of the time. Like, they took their time in making the drinks and getting to people who were trying to order drinks. I've been to plenty of places where I've seen bartenders move twice as fast but remain under control. A controlled chaos. But least the drinks were stiff and reasonably priced. I was drinking vodka tonics pretty much the entire night. Most of the night, everybody was hanging out on the "patio", which was a tent-enclosed area with another bar with a single bartender. Here's where all of the Hollywood scensters were hiding out. We managed to be able to secure a small little corner with a raised table, which worked out because someone brought cupcakes. There were brief moments of clusterf*ckness, but all in all it was a fun night hanging out with a bunch of rateclubsers. Oh.... the DJ was kinda whack though.... the music he was playing just kinda seemed.... as Minty mentioned, he at one point was playing Elton John. WTF? I'd rather pay a couple bucks more per drink and go to Citizen Smith a couple doors down.
