I have been wanting to check this place out for quite some time so when I was invited to meet some people there I jumped at the chance. Route 101 is not what I expected it to be. For one thing it is not a dive bar; it's a sports bar, it's a neighborhood hang out, and they have a couple of serious pool tables in back. It's a decent place but there's nothing divey about it. From the outside it looks like it's going to be small but it goes way back. The beer is $4.50 which is a little too much for this kind of place and the whiskey neat I ordered seemed a little skimpy; maybe I've been spoiled by heavy handed dive bar bartenders. The staff is friendly but the regulars seem a little douchey. The honest truth is that while it's pretty good bar there are so many bars I like better within a short walk that I probably won't be back often.

I went here for a home girls birthday celebration last weekend and ummm where do I start..... This place royally sucked.... The crowd was blah, ghetto, the girls were aaaaahhhhhhhhhh and pretty much naked the men were eeeeekkkk and wore stuff like flannel and fedora's..... Together...... Thank goodness I didn't pay or otherwise I would have demanded a refund... lol.... You would think it would have been crackin on a Saturday night... Oh this is a smoke free enviorment booooooooo. However they sell cigarettes in the ladies room..... Again booooooooo!!!!

Maybe I'm just not accustomed to K-Town clubbing. It seemed to be more of a meat market than anything else... as Mary S. said in her review, "Boys and girls drinking trying to hook-up with one another." The bottles were expensive ($220 for Grey Goose) and there was a minimum of 3 bottles for us to get a private room. I do have to say that the service was good. Our waiter, Jay, took pretty good care of us... he made sure we had enough chasers, cups, fruit, girls.... yes you heard me right.... girls. He kept booking girls for our room. While I normally wouldn't have any objection to this, the crowd out Le Cercle seemed pretty snooty and stuck up, so the girls he brought were unfriendly to say the least. The rooms were nice and quiet, with windows looking out to the club floor. It was nicely furnished with suede couches and a karaoke system. All in all, Le Cercle wasn't a bad time, but it also wasn't a good time. I probably won't be coming back here again.... ever.
