by Andrea C. on Went here for the first time with some friends. Went upstairs to hear some live music (the band was very good...didn't know their name & forgot to ask). No cover charge either!! My girlfriend knew the bartender (he said his name was Latch). I told Latch that I wanted a REALLY spicy bloody mary. I'm a bloody mary snob and will only drink them if they are freakin' spicy with a lot of great seasoning/flavor. It was OMG....so amazing! So amazing, in fact, that I had to get another. I told Latch to make it even spicier this time and he did not fail me! His service was fast, friendly, personable, and dang...can he make some good drinks! I'm not a "saloon" type of gal, but I was impressed by this place. Will I go back??? MOST DEFINITELY! Especially if I'm craving one of Latch's spicy bloody mary's!! Really, the staff does make or break an experience and Shiner has got it down!!
by Edythe Mclane on I love the Rite Spot. They are good to their performers. They make good drinks and fairly decent food. It used to be one of my regular places when I lived in the hood. I have to stick up for the "blonde bartender". She has always been very nice to me, and on my most recent visit, she was nice to my mom. Extra star for you, blonde bartender!
