Perhaps it was the cocktails that made it hard to maneuver the beveled floor but all I'm saying ladies, is that maybe this night should not be the one where you choose your highest Choo's. Was a bit chilly of a night to be out by the pool without heaters, but closer to the action was fine. Good people watching. Not the best service. Expensive, weak drinks. Eh, 3 stars. Good place to bring out of towner's if they've just been watching Hills episodes.
by Daniel Y. on Been hitting vanguard for years under different promoters. It is a great venue. Main dance floor is excellent, lights and sound. Open. The smaller room is good unfortunately speaker placement and volume levels will make you go deaf, especially if whoever is spinning in there is good. Bring earplugs. My gripe is with Giant Saturdays. It is ridiculously packed. They get great dj's, like Armin VB last weekend but in order to be able to make money they really need to pack the heads. Ridiculously overcrowded only begins to describe it. I'm surprised the Fire Marshall even allows that many people into the club. It is dangerous. If anything were to happen inside the club the place would be a death trap. With only two exits up stairwells on one side and the primary entry and another fire door to the side there is a high probability of getting trapped. The worst place would be where the dance floors and the main entry/bathrooms all connect in that little hallway room. Stampede central.
