by Katie S. on I had quite a great number of experiences in Drai's Las Vegas, So I decided to try our LA Drai's..Boy I should of listened to my friends... As I get to the club, valet parking was in the back of the W Hotel. Approaching the club I notice there was quite a line of people trying to gain entrance and it seemed doorman was not budging. Arriving with only one other girl worked in our favor,because we gained entry right away ,with of course no entry fee. We get inside the club, not many people. Especially for how many were standing in line,they could of totally let them all in and the place still would have a ton of room. We decided to walk to the bar area and take a look again at the crowd. It was a very actor/server (maybe bartender) probably up late that night for tomorrow mornings audition (hoping that its their big break). Typical Hollywood "look at me but don't talk to me" look, or as I like to say "Living in LA but not from LA" syndrome.The person in front of me at the ATM wanted to get cash, as I glanced at his account I noticed he had $85.00 left in his bank account! WTF is he doing at a pricey venue when you only have $85.00 in your bank account!?!?!?! It did not take too long for my friend and I want run to the elevator and hurry out the door. So if you are in the mood for snooty, broke wanna be celebs..this is your spot!
by Mack Knaust on I LOVE Blake's on the Park! It's the gay bar version of cheers. I've been every day of the week and always had a great time. Recently the crowd has changed to a younger group, but it's still fun. The staff is super great and so are the drinks. I definitely recommend checking this place out.
