by Juichia C. on The food was awesome! Got the grilled squid legs, beef tongue, pork belly, cold tofu as appetizers and all were delicious. I also wanted the lobster croquette, but they were out! :( I will definitely be going back there to try the sushi and many other items on the menu. I got one of the udon soups and the noodles were cooked just right~ Wish they served up some ramen as well. BF got 3 rolls. One tuna roll, one sweet potato tempura roll, and another special roll. The sushi rice is flavored really well, but they're not mind blowing sushi. The specialty roll was delicious. I got the red bean pancake for dessert but sadly it was just one of those pre-made frozen ones microwaved. It's a bit expensive for the amount of food you get, but I think it's worth it! The service was really slow even though there weren't many patrons at the time I was there. Perhaps it's just the Japanese way of things.
by Barrett Kalfas on I wish I can remember more about this club.. but sadly, I had too many shots of chilled Goose to remember. Went on a Tuesday night because a sorority sister was in town and I expected it to be dead but it was pretty packed for a Tuesday. The guy working the VIP list is actually a friend of a friend's so we had no problem getting in! Probably also cause I had 2 girls with me.. The club is nice.. didn't walk around all that much but from what I saw it has a classy ambiance to it. Overall, I had fun.. up until the point where we got kicked out cause one of sorority sisters puked on the outside patio. The drive home was very interesting.....
by Johnie Gier on It takes a sort of convergence, a number of unrelated factors coming together: -it needs to be a weekday, or a holiday weekend when everyone's out of town -it should be a clear night, preferably late in the year, when it gets dark early -either it's unseasonably warm or you're dressed warmly -you have cash On those rare occasions when all these things fall into place, the rooftop at medjool is a very nice place to be. The rest of the time it's not my scene.
