by Fatima M. on The first time I came here...epic fail. Bad service and crappy atmosphere. The second time, I mentioned to the manager that we had been forgotten for 1 entire hour the first time I came and he was on top of it! We had great $5 margaritas and lots of laughs. The food was good as I had ordered the salmon but be aware that the rice is super spicy. Our waitress was new and didn't know much about the menu but we were easy going about it as she went back and forth to other waiters to retrieve answers. And did I mention that the drinks were STRONG! $5 is a very cheap way to get you giggling at nothing particular at all. Looking forward to my next visit!
by Alice C. on I have no idea what this place is or does during the day because it's poppin' at night time and I'm there only when it's poppin'. I am also unaware of what kind of music they play on other nights besides Thursdays because I'm there only on Thursdays when it's poppin' the most. Shall I proceed with Little Temple on Thursdays nights only? Thursday event is called The Root Down - a celebration of hip hop, soul, funk and jazz all meshed together. It's love to the ears. If you have a guest list hook up, free before 11p.m.. If you don't, it's only $8 to get in. I dig $8 entrance fees second to FREE. Dress code is not strict - this is a down to earth place with down to earth people. They often have special guests perform to rock the stage. This place has two bars, one in each room. The main room has a stage where artists get to perform and might I add the nice sound system for dancers to shake they ass to their heart's content. Drinks are not that expensive, you're not on Hollywood Blvd or Sunset. They have two, cushioned lounge areas with tables if you want to get your freak on. What they don't have is a designated private smoking patio. Their smoking patio is basically right next to the entrance door outside on the corner of the street. If they had a nice smoking patio, I would give them 5 stars. The music, crowd and vibe is what makes this place special and fun. If you're not down with the hip, this place is not for you.
