by Christopher J. on Finally got to check this place out. Arrived on a Saturday around 10:30pm, waited in line for about 15 min and paid no cover fee, pretty good so far.. Overall, the Edison is pretty large as compared to any lounge I've ever been to, it is very nicely decorated, has a nice ambiance, has plenty of areas to sit and hang out, and bar areas can get very crowded later in the night. Also, the vibe was very mellow. I'd come back if I lived closer.

To watch a circle of guys break dance to music that stays on the same beat for like half an hour *thunk thunk thunk* This place stays open till 4am, however, my asian side thinks they should not charge you the $10 cover if you get there at 3am...
by Tommie Kay on Yes the crowd can be homogenous, yes they can make you wait on a long line outside and yes every drink you get is $11 but if you to bargain they may give you a discount and if you get wasted before arriving YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE FUN HERE! I have never been here when I heard bad music and didn't dance with a bunch of crazy strangers! It's a large space with a great atmosphere but it somehow doesn't feel at all pretentious ( minus the bouncers and wait outside). I love that GBH throws events here and can always get reduced admission. ** Warning: You generally need to arrive semi-early to get in for cheaper. They will tell you the list is closed if it's around 1am. It's NY. Suck it up and bring in mini bottles.
