One of the coolest bars I've ever been to, the Edison is in LA's old power plant. If you're into cool decor, go, sip a drink, and stare in awe... The drink prices are a little hefty, but the crowd is interesting and most nights you might even see people dressed up like it's the roaring 20's... Parking is a pain in tha buttocks, but valet if you don't feel like dealing with it. Also, the service sucks! The last time I was there a friend and I waited a half hour for our waitress who said she'd be right back before we gave up on her and went to the bar for some more shoddy service. And this was on a Tuesday when they were pretty dead! She finally showed up a minute after we finished our beers to ask if we needed anything. We said nothing and walked out...

I echo several of the very positive reviews provided.  Asia SF is a great fun time.  One of my favorite parts of the experience was that they gave shout outs to all of the out of towners and it was really encouraging to be sitting in the midst of so many open-minded people from across the world.  Everyone was very friendly on the staff (including waitresses/performers, bus staff, security, and so on).  I was there on a date and found that we both had a great time. I really enjoyed the Porcupines and chicken satay starters, followed by the Miso Glazed King Salmon that I had (but I ended up trading plates with my date, as she had the Sansho Spiced Fillet Mignon and it wasn't to her liking... and it wasn't to mine either, but a gentleman's got to do what he's got to do!)  For dessert, I had the warm chocolate cake and it was absolutely delicious. We had opportunity to see two performances that evening... both were very enjoyable and very different.  I noticed on a bathroom run downstairs that there's a club/bar open downstairs in the later evening.  I can only imagine how fun and different that would be.  Next time! Cheers. //John

So, after my friends discovered that 40/40 on a Friday night around 12 a.m. is Wiggidy Wack, we stumble on this place. The place is Humongous (sp) and the Decor is pretty darn cozy chic. After about a 2 mile walk we get to the top level dance floor, and it was ON! my friends. It was not super crowded at all and the ppl were pretty OK. The music was great too, a pretty balanced mix of genres; she even played reggae which many of the downtown clubs I frequent don't do too much of. I loved it, and will definitely be dropping by again sometime soon!
