Sushi bar and Japanese cuisine that also has a stage for bands. It's a pretty solid offering as far as food and beverages go. I'm not all that into sushi so I can't give a really useful review of how it tastes, but the two orders I had (spicy tuna and California roll) were pretty good. The Terrace as a music venue is pretty good though. The cover is probably $10 on a given night and they seem to use 40-minute sets each for 3 or 4 bands. It did get pretty hot inside for most of the night. Parking is a free-for-all, like most of Pasadena. You get side streets or meters.

Ruby Skye is the place to go for those who are into the electronic music scene (Trance, House, etc) as they get a lot of the premier and bigger named DJs. I came here on Tuesday night (yes I typed that correctly, TUESDAY out of all nights) to see Armin Van Buuren spin. I've been here numerous times so I am not sure why I never wrote a review. If you would have asked me a couple of years ago what my favorite club for house and trance, I would have said 1015 but that place has gone downhill since Spundae left. Ruby Skye is such a nice and clean venue. The first time I ever came here I thought it was so upscale with their strict dress code. They've loosened up some and not as strict as they once were. For example, before they didn't allow tennis shoes, but now you can wear them. Tuesday night was awesome. I was surprised that the line wasn't too long out front. However the guy who was checking pre-sale tickets made us go to the hotel across the street to re-print our tickets because his scanner wasn't reading it. Apparently he made a lot of people do the same as there was a long line of people. Inside the club the vibe of the crowd was unreal and it was packed inside the main room once I stepped in. I think it was mainly the hardcore trance lovers were out to see one of the better trance DJs that night, it was after all a Tuesday night. :) The sound system here is pretty incredible. They have a huge dance floor in the main room. Upstairs there are VIPS sections on both sides of the room, and has a nice view to look down. I highly recommended getting a table/bottle service if you have a large group of friends or a b-day celebration. The bad? The only bad thing is the price of the drinks. I thought it was priced higher compared to most clubs I've partied at. I ordered one vodka red bull and it was $12 bucks? $12 bucks, sheesh? Gotta use the old method and pre-drink before I go in next time. :) Summary: One of the best night clubs S.F. has to offer for trance and house music lovers. It's a very nice venue with big name headliners. Above and Beyond later this week! Blank & Jones, Kaskade in a few weeks! Woot.

Cool daily specials. This place has Yeungling on tap! (at least back in 2004) Love the outdoor seating. Come during happy hour and get $2 drafts - or is it $4...shit it's been a while..but I do know that there is no better deal for a brew in Manhattan - unless you go Downtown to their sister bar. Love the free peanuts...and the back room for some reason reminds me of the board game Clue. Oh and the Fusbol table - I made alot of friends at that table. Bar staff at the time I was there already knew what I wanted every time I come in...which says I either spent too much time there or they have great service... I will go with the latter of the two to benefit the both of us! And I love it in the Summer on the patio after biking all around - I can finish my jouney here and keep an eye on my bicycle too. The hot food isn't bad either. Many a time, I'd drink at Jakes, then hit the BBQ next door.
