I'm extremely surprised by a lot of the negative reviews of this restaurant. For me, this restaurant was a huge treat. I normally couldn't afford a place like this, but a really good friend was turning 21 and her dad offered to take us all out. It was one of the best NYC experiences of my life. We got to the restaurant, and there is a nice coat check service. We did have to wait about 15-20 minutes, but while you wait, you get to sit in the "lounge bar" and have drinks. The ambiance of the place is really amazing. It's darkly lit, with zen music filling the room. For the amount of people it didn't seem too loud really. The alcohol and drinks were really fantastic quality. We got seated at a bit table on the second floor, it was a great view. They have a collage of prints from a national geographic photographer on one side of the restaurant, and the big Buddha on the other side. Really though, the decor, music, atmosphere, was really fun and zen-like. There were 8 of us, and we decided to all order together and share everything - and oh my gosh the food was AMAZING. I have never tasted food like this. The orange chicken, the ribs, the rice, the lo mein - all of it was to die for. Really. For dessert, we had a sampler platter of sorts, which was awesome. We had dessert wine, coffee with baileys, hot chocolate and cappuccinos- which quality and taste surpassed any that I've ever had. To top it all off, we saw Adam Lambert there and actually got a picture with him! There are a lot of celebrities and famous people who come to this restaurant, so keep an eye out if you go ;)

Terrible in every way imaginable. I came here once with a few friends and was given the once over by a bouncer who made us wait outside for ten minutes before deciding that we were good enough to be allowed inside. A half-empty space awaited us. The club filled up eventually... with sullen, bored looking girls sitting around while guys in button down shirts with popped collars threw cash at them in the way of bottles and watered down Cosmopolitans. The music was nothing I haven't heard before on the radio stations Z100 and KTU. People come here to "see and be seen" but why anyone would want to empty their bank account to visit this slice of West Chelsea mega club wasteland is beyond me.
