Disclaimer: This is for the "Sunday's a Drag" brunch and not the evening festivities. My first foray into drag shows, and I was definitely entertained!  Like many of the other recent reviewers, I was drawn in by the Groupon bargain.  Rather than being treated like second class patrons, the host courteously gave us a couple of options on seating for the brunch/show. They manage to cram in more guests than you'd expect, but everyone seemed to have a decent view.  I'd recommend getting the earliest reservation available for your show, so you can leisurely enjoy your brunch prior to all the excitement. Favorites among the cuisine included the omelet bar, carving station, vegetarian frittatas, and chocolate dipped strawberries.  Their drip coffee was also decent (always a plus). The show was hilarious, and we especially enjoyed the drunken appearance of Judy Garland! Minor drawbacks:  It happened to be a warm day and their air conditioning (or lack thereof) could not keep up.  The omelet chefs had a hard time keeping up-- they just needed another person, but they were all very friendly.

My husband and I went here recently for dinner. We did have some unpleasant occurrences, but overall the food and drinks were good and our experience okay. Our first problem was our waitress/hostess seemed to be on "Latin time". I mean it wasn't like we were in a hurry or anything but her slowness was a little annoying. She took her time cleaning off a booth for us (and left some bleach wetness)). Then, it took so long to get my husband's drink that he was a little too focused on mine (he did have a question that delayed things, but still my drink was there way before his). Also, we usually have to tell the waitress we need more time to decide what we want, but with her, she was actually too slow for even us in her coming back to take our orders. It was fairly slow when we came in, too, so that was not an excuse. Our waitress was friendly, though (maybe that was her problem, she was a little too friendly and forgetting to do her job?!). Anyways, waitresses come and go, so I don't know that that should affect our decision on the restaurant per se. The other problem is my husband was offended that they charged $3 for the chips and salsa. He was like, that is quite bold of them, when Mexican restaurants are a dime a dozen, and there are many good ones. I'm not particularly fond of the chips (although I do love the salsa), so that didn't bother me too much. It also gave me an excuse to order the guac. since it was on the happy hour menu, and it came with chips and salsa! Okay, that said we had the catfish enchiladas with chipotle sauce, and they were really good. That sauce was amazing! Also, our drinks were pretty good. They also had a lot of interesting things on the menu. I liked that the guac. came with field greens instead of that worthless iceberg lettuce. The guac. and the salsa were so-so on the other hand. Would we go back? Hmm, maybe...although I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't since there are so many restaurants in Austin we have yet to try.

I LOVED IT HERE!  Why?  European boys that don't speak a lick of English =P Mood made me think about how clubs/lounges in SF need to really step it up...not that I didn't know that already. The DJ was pretty good, spinning mostly top 40, then taking a break and going into a rave/trance mode..starting off super old school with Sandstorm!    Mood, my first club experience in Hollywood, was a lot of fun.  My drinks got spilled on me a couple times, mainly on my feet...people were a little rude and didn't pay attention to those around them.  One guy did apologize and asked if I was drinking an adios...I was like yes!  Cheers & drink.  Usually I'm pretty uncomfortable in settings I'm not familiar with, but I knew it was of those situations where I'm never gona see these people again.  I met a hot Italian boy and danced the night away :) Cover was $20 and drinks were not cheap.  $12 for AMFs!  It only got more expensive from there though..
