by Johnathon Wachob on As restaurant, don't even think about going there. Just some many people have typical attitude. Even though food is good, it makes bad day for everything. Oh, by the way, food was awful. And, bad space design. Not for date.
by Joey Ernsberger on I really enjoyed this place. Its basically "tapas with a twist" - seems like a very upgraded version of the recently popular tapas joints in LA. Three of us oredered the 11 course tasting menu (which doesnt come cheap - around $8 per course and pp). They do a nice job learning what each of our dietary restrictions were (one person doesnt eat shellfish, another no read meat, etc). I thought they would be frazzeled at first, however the server came back with a few questions regarding our restrictions and then off we were. Our mouths were treated to an amazing array of tastes - each course totally different than the next. They even offer a menu created just for veg folk. The courses started off very strong, very flavorful while the mid section stayed on the 'just ok' side featuring things like carmalized onion and potatoes as one course - no big thrill there. The final few courses totally hit it out of the ballpark and then came two courses of desserts - some of the most unique, best tasting I've ever had! In all honesty, the veg options are ok - the red meat eaters seems to get a bigger punch from the experience. I can't imagine eating more than 11 courses, however it did go up past 14 or more as an option. I was totally stuffed after the 11 - keep in mind each course is VERY small. The decor is interesting - not really in to that mixmatached furniture look - however it was one large room and quite comfortable. The staff are truly accomodating and patient. The bill came to $420 for us which included 3 of the 11 course tasting and about 2-3 drinks each. Definitely worth the experience and return visits. Great for birthday as they delivered a special card and edible birthday candle - hows that for unique?
