by Tim Twine on I've been dying to go this place FOREVER.. let me repeat FOREVER!!!! I did research of this place.. it looks VERY HOT and PRETENTIOUS.. don't take it wrong way.. PRETENTIOUS sometimes can be hot.. I typically never second guess myself.. I have the confident of walking in a room/club/party without questioning myself whether I am HOT OR NOT.. THE MOMENT I STEPPED INTO GOLD BAR.. A COMPLETELY GAME CHANGER.. I HAVE NEVER SEE SO MANY ATTRACTIVE FACES IN A SINGLE CLUB.. YOU LOOK LEFT.. YOU LOOK RIGHT.. THERE IS NO DIRECTION IS A WRONG DIRECTION TO LOOK.. I do have to admit.. there were many euro trashes.. but hey europeans are hot even they are trashy.. I couldn't help myself but leave this HOT place cuz this is first time in my life i actually felt UGLY.. that I do not belong to this place.. but I promise myself in the end that I'll bring my HOTTEST self here one day to feel fit in =) GOLD BAR I"LL BE BACK!! BECAUSE YOU ARE HOT!!!
by Chuck Broschinsky on Good entertainment value!!! So my friends and I just wanted to relax after a busy day and we decided to try this place. We get there in jeans, tshirt, hair tied up and see people wearing ball gowns. Old, old people. Then there is this couple-- really old. Sitting there. Not talking. Unhappy. They leave for about ten minutes (I *wonder* where they went.....???) and they come back all over ea/other flirting/touching/laughing. Pretty gross. They are really old. Like dinosaur old. Pretty funny though. Then there are other old people dancing in ball gowns. To ghetto music. Pretty good, but for real laughs, go to the top of the Hilton when there is a conference and you'll see people that work w/ea other embarrass themselves fully to the point of office gossip for at least the next couple of years.
by Aunny D. on My friend Tulsi was scheduled to appear at Lo Fi last Friday night so I rounded up my Seattle peeps to go and support him. It was my first night back in my old stomping grounds so what could be better than going to a hip-hop show? Me and four of my friends roll in, none of which had ever been there before. Lo Fi has a very chill, laid back feel to it. It is very dimly lit and has a great selection of artwork on the walls, in addition to a separate gallery area. It is a much bigger space than I thought it would be. As you walk in there is the main bar, couches, gallery and you walk down a long hallway into the performing area. There is another smaller bar and an upstairs area as well. There was a bit of excitement that night due to a dumb-ass, drunk-ass in the bar area that caused a bit of a rumble outside. The owner assured us that this was not the type of behavior that they condoned there and decided to close shop a bit early, which I totally respect. No worries this is not enough to stop me or any of my friends from coming back. I was shocked at how much the drinks cost, let's just say that the $12 I pay in LA for one martini bought me and my four friends a full round. WOW, maybe I SHOULD move back to Seattle.
