I've been to The Improv a few times. I've always had fun, and never had any problems getting in. There isn't really a long line.. and they usually let everyone in eventually. Even if you show up late. There is a two item minimum when you come here. Their drinks are good. Most of the time it's TOO SWEET. (Non-alcoholic and alcoholic mixed drinks). The food here is good. The last time I went, I shared some chicken flautas or taquitos with Frank M. It came with guac and sour cream for I think $9. Almost the same price as a drink! Parking is never a hassle. There are tons of metered parking in the street. Free after 6! :)

Stupid Oilcan's. This place has to be one of the skankiest bars in town, but due to recent events...my going out buddy isn't allowed at a couple of the higher end gay bars. Soooo, after a long walk from the craziness of SXSW parking, I get to the door to be told, "no opened toed shoes or flip flops". I am about to come unglued at this point, WHAT THE HELL?! I am rocking some of the most gorgeous shoes you've ever seen and you're letting THAT in?! Ugh, how annoying. Make sure you wear your steel toed boots to stomp around in one of the dirtiest, stickiest, sleaziest bars around. Cheers to queers. bleh.
