Ok, my friends had visited Atlanta before and told me i HAD to come to the Varsity, so I did. It was very quaint with their waitresses yelling "What'll ya have?" at me. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries and I was disappointed. Seriously, they're just like McDonalds burgers and fries, except they didn't even have any condiments on the burger. It was just bun, meat, cheese, bun. Lame. At least, at McDonald's they give you a pickle. The fries were soggy and flavorless. Good thing it wasn't expensive. It came out to around $3something. But I could have gotten a double cheeseburger and much better fries at MD's for $2. Lose.

Perhaps it was the party I went to, but this place really did nothing for me. It was a pain to find via the address- as Orange splits right near there and the sign for the bar isn't very visible. As I was there for a private party, I had no problems with a line situation. The bartenders seemed nice, but not genuine. Gorgeous girls that you would expect in Hollywood. People talk about the freaks out there? There weren't enough of them... or at least guys that could come up with semi decent lines. There were tons of dudes and not enough girls. The set up was a bit less to be desired. Plenty of ample seating but arranged in a way that it was a bit annoying as it seemed maze like when you were trying to walk around. Parking was only valet at the club itself. Save yourself some money and go right next door to the Hollywood & Highland parking structure. There is another structure about a block down on the other side of Orange across from the Roosevelt otherwise. But if you want to park there, I'd recommend skipping this place and just going to there... its a far better club anyway. I highly doubt I'll be going back there anytime soon.

Ahhhhh Bob Bar. I want to give you 5 stars. I really, really do. But you are SO EFFING CROWDED AND SMALL that I can't to be within your glorious walls for more than 20 minutes without being drenched in sweat. Attractive? I think not. Oh, and that annoying $5 cover after 11pm. Yeahhhh it's only $5 but I mean, that $5 could go towards buying a drink. Or cab fare home. I realize it's not much compared to other NYC clubs, but I'm a "no-cover" type of gal. I guess you can't win them all. Bob bar is a good time though. Just be prepared to wait for a drink and be thrown around the other dancing club-goers. And if you plan on making this your one and only stop for the night, wear a minimal amount clothing. I say this so you don't pass out from dehydration and heat!
