by Arlette Zaituna on I thought the burgers were really good. Cooked perfectly. Service was really good also. I appreciate when the wait staff doesnt come by every 5 minutes to see how things are. It was overall a really good dinning experience.
by Jackeline Moellers on I've always been a bit weary of Vessel because I haven't heard anything positive about the crowd that ends up here. But I was led into a false sense of security when one fine Wednesday, I went to see Boys Noize and was pleasantly surprised by the lack of cheesy clubbers smeared with heavy eye makeup. However, the most recent time I came here (on a Saturday) was quite possibly the lamest night ever. The people were lame (read: sleezy). The drinks were lame (read: was that $8 screwdriver made with Sunny D?). The bouncer was lame. The only cool people were the ones working at coat check. Who the eff dances to electro beats in a striped dress shirt and white leather shoes? And I'm sorry, but that slinky red top does NOT pass as a dress. The only words that come to mind are "tacky" "tasteless" and "trashy". *Cringe* I give this place credit for having decent music on Wednesdays (+1 star); perhaps it was just that one Saturday night when the entire disgustingly fake clubbing crowd decided to swarm into Vessel. But I'm not going to try my luck. Saturdays here. Never again.
by Terry C. on Pure is what it is... A hot mess on it's best night, but still a good time if you're with a group of friends. It can get a little dicey after 2am, but still fun! Since it is a "private" club people can still smoke inside, and it gets a bit stuffy. The dance floor is big and the DJs are usually pretty good. The drinks are potent, the bartenders are nice on the eyes, and the bathrooms are relatively clean. The balcony provides a good place to observe the happenings of the dance floor.
