by Aimee V. on I have to admit, my husband are on kind of a fried chicken "kick" lately. Out to see if some of these "best fried chicken" places live up to the hype. Resurrection was great.....but this evening I was hungry and wanted not only 2 pieces of chicken but some good homemade sides and boy did Ms. Tootsies fill this craving! First of all, the ambiance is very chill, great lighting, chill bar, some old school music and laid back wait staff who were more than friendly. Come casual or dressed up you will fit right in! Although other have complained about price $15 for some chicken and 2 sides can be warranted with such great atmosphere and friendly staff! We were here for chicken and that is what we got....keep in mind that the breast takes about 25 minutes, which was fine and they brought us a yummy warm corn bread muffins to tide us over. Then came the chicken, the crust was on the thinner side but chock full of flavor, collards were delish as were the mac and cheese and okra with tomato and corn. We will absolutely be back and look forward to trying some other items like the smothered pork chops and ribs!
by Vin on Usually known for their Country bands, The Outpost has been adding rock bands to the rotation. 3/27 & 3/28/09 they're gonna have BACKDRAFT there - they rock all the favorites. Check these guys out!
by Rene D. on Not much of a clubber any longer; but to me; this is like little Las Vegas.. This place is big... Nicely decorated.. And the bartenders are cool, if you are... Like three different rooms, a FEW smoking balconies; and plenty of people to meet.. Just hang out, be yourself; and venture out!!! The law of attraction it to be yourself as often as possible, and your likely gonna meet someone more like yourself.. Who cares who has money or fancy clothes or cars.... We all the same!!! If your cool, then YOUR COOL. Say hello, ask if they're having a good time.. If they act too cool; it because THEY'RE NOT!! I've seen celebs here trying to fit it, and they don't.. You notice them just about anywhere. But don't be fooled ladies.. The guys wearing glasses, overly flashy shirts, and hats that cover 30% of their faces; are trying to be somebody they aren't; and pretending to have things they don't!! Talk to the guys that talk to you.. You might be surprised that they actually have a sense of humor, and possibly a personality.. Not just trying to HIT & RUN!! This is a pretty cool club, and the bar manager is a true gentleman..(ladies, he's married).. And the chick's are pretty hot too!! Ooh yeah boys, be COOL, and it's ALL YOU CAN EAT!!
by Carol Faye on A great place to people-watch, listen to terrific bands, and dance! The dance floor is roomy, and comfortable. My sister came in from Alaska for a Christmas visit and I insisted she had to get her "dancing" fix here!
