The place is huge so unless there is are a lot of people it feels empty but when it fills up around midnight its awesome. Music is always good, but what makes the experience awesome at manor west is the staff. They are always nice no matter whether you are getting bottle service or just getting a couple of drinks at the bar.
by I DJ Persyst I. on Short Version for Thursday 3/12/09 -Come here to dance (nice size dance floor: Hip-Hop, House, Motown and everything in between) -Come here to chill (Spacious lounge) -Come here to sing along as the dj bumps an occassional 80's rock classic -Crowd was really cool, everyone just havin' a good time on a Thurs -Guy/Girl ratio seemed to be balanced (A good looking crowd as well) *Can't comment on the drinks as I didn't have one this night Additional notes for Thursday 3/12/09: I was here for the first time last Thursday. Since I'm not a Baller...yet or a girl who might be harrassed on my way out at the end of the night I didn't use valet. Instead, I left my car at the Arclight Cinerama parking structure across the street. I arrived at the door around around 10p because I just started to work as a promoter for http://www.ChrisnDave.netand they told me to be there early so I can greet the peeplz on my guest list. But, alas, since I did just start as a promoter that week, live down in Redondo Beach, have a 9-5 unrelated to music/clubs, don't really know anyone that parties in Hollywood during the week (due to 9-5's, plus the drive, myself included) no one came for my guest list, boo hoo :( But then I thought to myself (Self...I'm in a transition period right now between the 9-5 life and becoming the full-time groovy and well-connected DJ that I will be oneday become, so don't sweat it) So with that thought, I proceeded to just have a good time of dancin' and convo for the rest of the night, which I did. By the time I got to bed it was 3a and I was then up at 7a to hit the jobby job, sweeet. Overall this is a cool spot. I'll have to compare it to a Friday/Weekend night, but Thursday's vibe is real nice and you can walk around freely (no sardine can). I recommend this for sure. TTFN
