by Erin Atchinson on I've been taking lessons at Four on the Floor since January of last year and have had a great time. I've never taken lessons anywhere else, so I don't have much to compare it to, but they are wonderful. And no worries if you don't have a partner... My husband has not taken classes with me, and it's no problem at all. In fact, everyone in class rotates around so you get a chance to dance with everyone. Another thing that's so nice about FotF is that they are great working with the most beginner of dancer. I have seen people start in beginning swing, totally timid, no rhythm at all, and progress into having confidence, grace, and being totally comfortable. It's a fun way to get exercise and interact with a variety of people. Also, just a note, the prices have increased slightly recently- you can just pay by the class for $15 each, or you can pay for an entire 4-week series for $45.
by Naomi B. on this place gets one star knocked down because i dont understand why its $20 to get in...and why the line is was so long at 1230! i mean they were only going to be open another hour. i dont know why im complaining because i friend of a friend got us in for free and pass the line...but if they weren't there that night then we'd probably have to wait and pay - the reason IBIZA gets 4 stars is because the crowd is diverse just like the music, the people are more mature, and there arent a lot of sloppy 21 year olds in this place. ive been here before during happy hour and its really good, and reasonably priced. they also have good mojitos and are pretty quick at the bar....
