Let me preface this review by admitting I might be drinking too much haterade.  Been here twice, semi-dragged the 2nd time. I like dancing, I like music, I just don't dig Bootie (the bar/event not the body part).  Maybe it's that everyone is having too much fun?  Maybe it's that I get tired of having beer in plastic cups spilled on me constantly?  Maybe it's that I feel like everyone there is 18 going on 19, attending art school and getting shwasted?  I don't know.  By the way, nothing wrong with art school.  It's like what Danny Glover said though, "I'm too old for this sh$%!" Don't get me wrong - like mashups (girltalk, 99allins), really enjoyed the live acts and the house band.  They are fun.  The crowd and vibe just doesn't rub me the right way.  Maybe I just need to get my groove back. And oh yea, last time I was there, my friend got drunk and then nearly fought a fully tatted, possibly knife-wielding dude for tittering too much at the pizza line next door.  Didn't help my experience.

The architecture and decor of this place is really beautiful.  I came here on a Saturday night and the bar area was totally packed.  They should open up the huge empty restaurant   part when the kitchen is closed. The DJ was good except that Buddha Bar owners should really think about investing in a better sound system.  The drinks are super expensive and they automatically include the bartender's tip.  I was really annoyed when I saw that on the bill.

Cheap beer.  Decent food (I'm a grilled cheese fan).  Good service, so long as the waitresses aren't swamped. But, like all good dives, it's busy during peak hours.  Lucky to get a place to stand busy.  Expect to get beer spilled on you busy.  A fight may break out 2 feet away from you busy.  So loud you can't hear someone 6 inches away from you busy. But if you can snag a spot, it's a comfortable, homey atmosphere with alright food, cheap drinks, and (usually) service with a smile.
