We came to Mighty for their "1984 Dance Party" on New Year's Eve 2011. The event was free, which was really nice considering all the expensive events going on around the city that night. We had an awesome time. The DJ was spinning great 80s classics all night, and it wasn't just you're typical Bon Jovi and Journey-type hits. They covered Madonna to Modern English and everything in between. There were huge projection screens all over the place, showing actual music videos of these songs, and some of them were very strange. The place got very crowded, but not until the last hour or so leading up to midnight. The place was actually pretty spacious, with multiple rooms and some good side-areas to rest your feet. The bartenders were quick and did a great job keeping up with the demands. Bottles of champagne were passed around at midnight, which was a very nice touch considering that the event was free. A 1984 dance party wasn't necessarily what we had in mind for New Year's Eve, but after rockin out there for several hours, we left feeling very good about our choice.

I went here two weekends ago - we were hanging out at District, which is that pretentious (but fun nonetheless) wine bar at the corner of Ritch and Townsend and decided to hoof the 15 feet over to 330 Ritch at 1:30 in the morning on Sunday. The place was frigging jumping and I was absolutely shocked. You see, I just moved to South Beach and had resigned myself to gentrified apartments and office buildings when I came across this totally crazy old place. I'm okay with it.

They have strong drinks and hot bois! I actually like this club over rage....it reminds me of an upscale mirabar from back home. See you there this weekend!
