by Ashley S. on The waitress stole my money! She did this to me and a friend of mine. She took $20 bills for drinks that were for $10. When I asked her what happened 20 minutes later she said she was "confused" because there were so many drinks. She said the same thing to my friend. A manager came later and said she would give me a free drink next time but there will be no next time. I have never met such dishonest people in my life.
by Erica C. on Trudy's is a definitely a favorite in my group of UT students. It's a lively atmosphere, where you can chill, have some good texmex and drinks. We like to send a group text saying "MMM???" which means Mexican Martini Mondays. We make it a ritual to come every Monday for the Mexican Martinis. The Mexican Martinis are so strong that they have to limit each guest to two. I also like their sangria margaritas. The salsa is too spicy for someone weaksauce like me but after a mexican martini you don't seem to notice anymore. I alternate between ordering the mushroom/beef quesadillas and the stuffed avacado. For the stuffed avocado you can pick between different sauces ranging from mild to spicy.... you already know which one I'm getting! Luckily, we live in walkable distance to Trudy's and will hit up this spot before 6th street to eat and pre-drink. The only downside to Trudy's is that it is very difficult to get a table on the weekends. They indoor seating can only sit up to 8 people and your entire party MUST be present to get seated. The bar patio is first come first serve but difficult to seat more than 8 as you have to wait for multiple tables to clear up so you can push them together.
