Nobody ever gets an Irish bar right in Atlanta. The place is OK, food is edible, drink selection is ok (though the draft beer selection is miserable) Though the drinks are way over priced $6.50 for a 16 ounce draft beer. For that price I can go to Turner Field. I will go here if I am meeting others, but I NEVER volunteer to go here.

Let's not kid ourselves about Trudy's. There is one reason that everyone comes here - the World Famous Mexican Martinis. I'm not so sure that they are world famous, but Trudy's has to have been one of the first establishments to serve this delight. If you've been living in a cave in Baghdad and don't know what a Mexican Martini is, think really big margarita (with some extra, special ingredients) served in a tall metal cocktail shaker with a martini glass on the side. Yes, they are big, and yes, they are strong. Unfortunately, they really enforce the two martini limit these days (these didn't use to be as hard about this). Fancy yourself a heavyweight? Try the (very non sanctioned) Trudy's Tour - limit out at all Trudy's locations. Designated driver required for this one. They are much stronger than they taste, so use caution. Atmosphere is decent at this location - the bar is better than the restaurant, although it can get ear ringing loud in here on busy nights. The parking lot/patio or deck are great choices on pleasant days or evenings. Given the proximity to UT, lots of students/co-eds. Food-wise, the salsa is great (but can be spicy depending on the day), the queso is good (but when is queso not good?!?), and for a main course I'd recommend the poquito flaquitos, the migas and fajitas, the stuffed avocado or the chimichanga. Full bar, lots of draft beer and plenty of other margarita choices should the martini not catch your fancy.
